It's this bit from yesterday that I'm dwelling upon:
That infrastructure can be as simple as me saying hello to you, and leaning in to learn from you, to know you better, and to find out what you feel moved by sharing in the world.
The inevitable nutriment of it, when you start to realize how present and accessible it can be, is a wonderfully deep and well-rooted kind of gentle, natural, life-supportive intoxication.
When I say "intoxication," I don't at all mean the bad or problematic kind. Not that poisoned feeling… not the disorientation or the illness that comes from environmental toxicity and industrial pollution… not the deceptive experience that tricks you... not the contaminants that sicken and isolate your loved ones... and not the drug effect either. Not the going-out-of-your-head-in-ecstasy that destabilizes the body.
I mean the health-restoring aroma of the most deliciously strengthening Earth-sourced food we prepare together, and eat together, while talking and laughing, sharing stories, singing songs.
The relief, joy, and actualization of having profoundly succeeded.
The social fabric that stabilizes the whole community.
The true dream realized.
We can actually have such powerfully good lives together.
