Call for Care Apprenticeship Applicants!
Revolutionary decolonial Care Apprenticeship opportunities — now onboarding online and on-location in rural Viola, Wisconsin. 🌿

Yellow Rocket Sanctuary and Intuitive Network Immersion Arts Learning are accepting participant applications!
Begin your personalized immersive online or local apprenticeship pathway in collaboration with Yellow Rocket’s living sanctuary environment in the Driftless region of Southwest Wisconsin — and our many developing locations connecting through the worldwide Intuitive Community Media Network.

Applicants must…
have strong no-toxins values and be ready to be fragrance-free;
have a strong respect for indigenous values and living ecosystems;
recognize the importance of individual choice and self-determination for all beings; and
be ready to start your apprenticeship journey on Telegram Messenger while being vetted for next-level on-site-location apprenticeship learning pathways.
For this first round, applicants for on-site apprenticeship must have a driver’s license and autonomous vehicle.

This Care Apprenticeship program is for participants interested in building real-world skills across customizable training combinations, including:
Caregiving + disability support practice
Community care + survivor advocacy
Food growing + preservation + land stewardship
Homestead systems + maintenance
Immersion arts learning + collaborative curation
Public media + community media + publishing
Integrity in business + life-honoring competitive economics
Leadership + speaking + societal influence
Social enterprise + collaborative project development
Tech coordination + accessibility communications
Creative practice + social artisanship

This is apprenticeship-style immersion learning. It is not conventional classroom training. The program is fully-customizable and includes solo self-study, hands-on training activities, and collaborative project platforms.
We especially welcome applicants interested in disability justice, recovery-centered care innovation, inclusive community design, and building practical alternatives to failing care systems.
As far as we know, this is the first time anyone’s done what we’re doing.
The plan is to have learning sanctuaries everywhere.
We’re starting here in the Driftless region.

With emphasis:
Telegram Messenger use is required in order to start your application process.
Driver’s license mandatory for our first on-site cohort; some roles require independent transportation.
Strong communication, reliability, curiosity, and cooperative capacity are crucial.
We’re looking for learners committed to reducing violence in their communities and in the care industry; as well as caregivers, organizers, writers, artists, homesteaders, community builders, accessibility workers, aspiring care practitioners, and people designing new livelihood pathways to respect the earth and all living beings.
Successful apprentices will be first in line for paid positions being coordinated and funded for YLWRKT initiatives and throughout the Intuitive Community Media Network, both online and on-site in many locations.
