We heard these rumors about substack, and here we are. Mack’s Memo occupies a lot of different neurological spaces now. What will become of this one? Let’s find out.
As we’ve been compiling dailies, episode releases, and radiostream albums, we’ve sort of wondered where all this is going. Can we even track our paths from one point to another? Not usually. But we’re still traveling.
I am your (regular) show host and as we witness the emergence of many more show hosts — many more severely disabled survivors of severe circumstances, invisible violence, and human trafficking reaching recovery toolsets and strengths-building our own public media platforms — I look forward to being a minor note in the cumulative history. In the meantime, I’ve got editors’ privileges. How do we curate this next part of the conversation?
It has helped quite a bit to have different spaces and frameworks in which to write, record, or otherwise express ourselves.
All of us together are learning astonishing things about what can be possible when we listen, learn to understand the language being spoken, and practice respect towards all living beings.
Sometimes it’s really hard.
We’ve got to just keep practicing.

How can I even hang on to all the different things that are happening? I try to catch the wave here and there. I surf or flow with it. And then suddenly there’s another thing…
And in the midst of this vagueness or uncertainty, there are a lot of smaller points of clarity and a tremendous amount of achievement.
How are we doing all these things?
I don’t know.
