
The phrases we talked about in the previous post are not labels anyone wants to stick.
…And they can be awfully sticky.
They can be so sticky, in fact, that people who encounter significant injuries and hardship in their lives can end up with these labels as their job.
Literally, their job.
The only way many people in that situation can see to reach some mote of recognition or economic resource flow in their communities… is to use those labels to identify themselves in hopes of relief, because their environments require it; fighting dreadfully hard for that relief; and often, even then, relief unachieved.
